The classes are organized into developmental levels. In each level we will develop your child’s skills training on all events above. Plus(2)air tracks 32' long, mini tramps, 6' trampoline, plus much more. Class starts with various creative dynamic cardio warm ups, hitting all the major muscle groups to get the heart rate up, body temp up, and a lite sweat. Next, gymnastic stretches to prepare the entire body, as well as getting the mind focused. They will learn terminology (names of all the body positions), and much more. We will start with tumbling, covering all the basic beginning level tumbling skills for a great foundation like; small handstands, forward, backward, and sideways rolls, cartwheels, jumps, leaps, turns, and balancing skills. As our gymnasts develop, the progression will move toward more intermediate level skills like: a roundoff, handstand roll downs, handstand to bridge, kick overs, etc… More advanced level skills include dive cartwheels, dive rolls, front and back walk overs, front handsprings and more. The highest level will move onto aerial skills: back handsprings, front and side aerial cartwheels, roundoff back handsprings, front flips, standing back flips, side flips, roundoff back flips, Arabian somersaults, and much much more!!! We personalize and customize the fitness goals and plans for all students.Lesson plans are tailor-made to fit the way your child learns best. As a seasoned instructor (50+yrs), I will always be working on, being a good role model teaching your children how to set goals, be fair, reasonable, patient, caring, observant, dedicated, proficient, thoughtful, kind, and how to treat others with love and respect. Good Character Counts, it's caught, not taught!!!
Gymnastics lessons help children develop confidence, how to be calm and have self-control. They will learn how to focus, and improve their decision making skills. Of course, strength, flexibility, balance, speed, endurance is always made better in this sport. Our goal is safety, first, last, and always!!! All skills will be taught at the correct ability level, with the proper technique, and in the correct order of difficulty. For the best learning curve we will start with the basics, building a strong foundation, and as needed deconstruct each gymnastics skill by breaking it down into the proper progressions and lead up drills. This process will ensure each person is progressing properly and having the best success possible by reaching their expectations they set for themselves!!! Each student in the class is taught according to their own ability and the lesson plan is tailor- made to the way they learn.
Learning gymnastics increases, mind focus, mental toughness, physical coordination, and gross motor skills, a good sense of precision and timing.
Gymnastics teaches hand and eye coordination, spacial awareness, audio and eye tracking, for reading readiness, following through and good work ethic.
Doing gymnastics improves their listening skills, how to follow directions, how to take turns, respect for others, and how to participate in a group, just to mention a few...
